What did you do this past week?

I completed some modules for my history class and started working on a project for Artificial Intelligence. This week was not that busy for me, so I was able to get lots of sleep since I did not have many things to work on.

What’s in your way?

The main thing in my way will be my project for Artificial Intelligence. However, I do not believe it will take too much time. I do not think IDB1 will be too much of a problem because I have a solid group. However, we will need to discuss what we are going to do. Luckily, multiple people on the team (myself included) have experience with web development, so I am pretty confident that we will be able to plan a course of action some time soon.

What will you do next week?

I will finish my project for Artificial Intelligence, and I will also consult with my team on what we are going to do for IDB1. I will also attend the FOCS brunch and watch the next set of videos for my Artificial Intelligence class. Additionally, I am going to work on and finish the next module I have for my history class.

What was your experience of exceptions, IDB1, and types?

I have experience with exceptions because of Java and C++, so it was interesting hearing about how exceptions worked in Python. Some of the information about types was new to me, such as the information about tuples. In my last two internships, I had to work on web applications, so I do not think IDB1 will be too daunting of a task.

What made you happy this week?

I got some Hackerranks from some companies that I applied to, so that was nice. Not only that, but some were from companies that I most want to work at. I also got a new laptop, since my old one was getting slow.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

If you want to learn some basic info about AWS, check out this website: https://www.aws.training/. There are a lot of quick tutorials and in-depth courses that go through AWS’s main features. This website is also helpful if you are considering trying to get the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certificate (or any of the AWS certificates).
